Our Funds & Campaigns

Operations and Infrastructure Fund

1.png

Behind every policy win, every resource, and every system improvement is the infrastructure that makes it possible.

This fund supports the operational backbone of Minnesota Family Law Reform, ensuring that programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts continue to move forward.

Your support helps fund:

  • Statewide coordination and program development

  • Community outreach and coalition building

  • Technology, data systems, and resource platforms

  • Administrative infrastructure that sustains growth

  • Expansion of service pathways and professional networks

Why it matters:
Without strong infrastructure, reform efforts stall. This fund ensures MNFLR can continue building and scaling impact across Minnesota.

Research and Data Campaign Fund

Better decisions require better data.

This campaign supports research and public health analysis to understand how family court decisions impact children, families, and long-term outcomes.

This campaign supports:

  • Tracking how custody decisions intersect with safety concerns to improve domestic violence survivor‑centered policies.

  • Prioritizing children’s long‑term well‑being, stability, and safety across all demographic groups through data-driven responses.

  • Using data to uncover racial, gender, and socioeconomic disparities in court decisions.

Why it matters:
Without data, systems operate on assumptions. This campaign ensures reform is driven by measurable outcomes.

Family Stability and Services Fund

Many families enter the court system without access to the support they need.

This campaign builds pathways to services that help reduce conflict and improve family stability before, during, and after court involvement.

This campaign supports:

  • Addressing barriers such as financial strain and limited legal literacy.

  • Strengthening partnerships with domestic violence shelters and BIPOC community organizations to expand on opportunities for services and supports.

Why it matters:
Stronger support systems reduce reliance on court intervention and improve outcomes for children.

Professional Training Fund

Professionals play a critical role in shaping outcomes for families.

This campaign supports training and accountability measures that improve how professionals engage in family court cases.

This campaign supports:

  • Equipping advocates to recognize and reduce racial, gender, and socioeconomic bias that disproportionately affects BIPOC families.

  • Tracking decisions and professional actions to identify disparities and ensure consistent, fair treatment across cases.

Why it matters:
Better-trained professionals lead to better outcomes for children and families.

Legal Fund

5.png

Access to the legal process should not be determined by financial capacity.

This fund supports families who face barriers to participating in custody and parenting time cases.

This fund helps expand access to:

  • Providing safe, confidential support for domestic violence victims who face heightened obstacles in navigating custody and parenting time processes.

  • Prioritizing resources that protect children’s stability, safety, and emotional well‑being throughout legal proceedings.

  • Partnering with trusted organizations to reach underserved families who may not know these supports exist.

Important:
Minnesota Family Law Reform does not provide legal representation. This fund supports access, education, and system navigation.
